DAC on DORP Gallery Invitation: Cape Town, South Africa.

Saturday, 07th June 2025, Capetonians were invited, to an afternoon, of Tea, Cake and Creativity, at 73 Dorp Street,  to meet  Artists-in- Residence, Songezo Zantsi and Khanya Zibaya, at the DAC on DORP Gallery.


Located within Bo-Kaap, amongst the cultural heart of the Cape Malay community, the DAC on DORP Gallery, has been offering Artists, Space to work and live since 2023.




The Gallery's mission, is to give back to the Community, via Artist Residency, Art Fairs, Outreach Programs, Community and School Tours, Workshops, and Advocacy Events that engage the broader Community.




DAC on DORP Gallery, is a dedicated, gallery Space, showcasing exhibitions, from local and international Artists; but, their main goal is to highlight  Emerging South African Artists.




Past artists-in-residency, include: Lulu Mhlana, Noluthando Mbuyisa, Kabelo Moraloki, Hugo Kabeya, Andile Bhala, Yvette Hughes and Collen Mfazwe.

Both Artists are from the Eastern Cape, and exhibited their work, at the Investec Cape Town Artfair  2025.

Khanya Zibaya is a multi-focused artist, using video, sculptures, experimental painting, and photography.

Cape Town Carnival 2025

March 13th 2025, The City, showcased once again  why it is known,  as the best city in the world, when it held its annual Cape Town Carnival.  With dazzling floats, electrifying performances, and stunning costumes, even the weather played its part. Fifteen years has not dulled the Carnival festivities, that has become better and better every year, thanks to the hard work and passion of the Cape Town  Carnival Trust, and the City of Cape Town. This year, for the first time, the DHL Stormers rugby team, participated, and on  their 5meters in-length, float  called 'Taking the Cape by Storm' they brought the crowds to their feet. Leading the Parade, was 100 Harley Davidson bikes, 15 Jeeps, 35 Police Officers, a jet-ski with the Proudly South African flag flying high, 17 Firefighters and their Firetruck.
