The ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION ASSOCIATION OF SOUTHERN AFRICA Conference 2025
"CELEBRATING AND REFLECTING THE SUCCESSES IN EDUCATION
FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT (ESD): BUILDING ON SUCCESS AND SHAPING THE FUTURE OF ESD"
The 43rd Environmental Education Association of Southern Africa (EEASA) Conference 2025, and exhibition, was held recently, from the 16th September 2025, to 19th September 2025, at the Taj Hotel, in the City Centre of Cape Town, South Africa.
Since it's inception, in 1982, the EEASA has always sought the advancement of Sustainable Education, and is a pioneer in Southern African Environmental development, both here, in Africa and the rest of the world.
The EEASA is open to every individual, organization, form educators, policymakers, researchers, activists, and students, interested in Education for Sustainable Development, and general capacity-building, in the Environmental Sustainability Development.
Last year, the EEASA Conference was held in Mulungushi International Conference Centre, in Lusaka, Zambia.
This year, it was held in the City of Cape Town, where the exhibition area, was open to the general public, for free, and was located across the Taj Hotel, by the Concourse Building, in Wale street.
Papers and Posters were presented on many environmental issues, such as, AI, Waste Management, Community and Youth Advocacy, Clean air, Advancing Ocean Literacy, Addressing the Skills Ecosystem, Arts, Creativity and Sustainability Teaching for Teachers.
Participants included, the Dar Es Salaam University College of Education, Indalo Eswatini, Limpopo Economic Development, Lapalala Wilderness School, SANBI, SANParks, Two Oceans Aquarium Foundation and Ocean Campus, Wildlife and Environment Society of South Africa (WESSA), Zambia College.
The Environmental Education Association of Southern Africa, (EEASA) was proudly partnered with, and sponsored by, CapeNature, SANParks, the Western Cape Environmental Educational Forum, Cape Leopard Trust, and the Environmental Management Agency (EMA)
